Henderson

At one time, Henderson was quite separate from Las Vegas, but with the big population boom in Clark County in the late 90s into the early 2000s, it is difficult to tell the two cities apart. Henderson, however is a separate city from Las Vegas, and is the second largest city in the state of Nevada, occupying a total of 94 square miles (from its original 13 square miles at the time of its incorporation in 1953).

The M Resort and Casino is actually in Henderson, as is Green Valley Ranch and the Fiesta. Part of Henderson is on the hills that border the southeastern edge of the Las Vegas Valley. To its east, you can find Lake Mead, and on your way there, Lake Las Vegas – a master planned community catering to the very wealthy. Hotels in Lake Las Vegas include the Ritz Carleton and Lowes, and they are not hotel/casinos.
